When Sophie, a sweet Maltese-Yorkie mix, lost her person to terminal illness, her world turned upside down. Her family, overwhelmed with caregiving and caring for their own pets, turned to The Haven for help. Because of support from monthly donors, we were able to say yes.
Sophie — now lovingly renamed Lucky Angel — was shy and uncertain at first. But with patience, care, and our dedicated matchmakers, she found a forever home filled with comfort and love. Her story gave peace to her human in their final days, and a second chance to a dog who just needed time and compassion.
Your monthly gift makes stories like Lucky Angel’s possible:
- $10/month feeds a shelter cat
- $20/month vaccinates a frightened new arrival
- $50/month funds lifesaving surgeries like spay/neuter
